Lucknow: Cricket enthusiasts in Lucknow have a reason to cheer as live screening of Indian Premier League matches will now be organized at the Rashtriya Prerna Sthal.
The initiative has been launched by the Lucknow Development Authority, with Vice Chairman Prathamesh Kumar issuing the necessary orders.
According to officials, the move aims to provide residents with a shared space to enjoy the excitement of IPL matches together, fostering a sense of community and enthusiasm for the sport. Viewers will be able to watch matches in an open-air setting equipped with high-quality projectors and sound systems.
The LDA administration has assured that all necessary arrangements will be in place to ensure a smooth experience. Special focus will be given to security, cleanliness, and public convenience during the screenings, and instructions have been issued to concerned officials accordingly.
Prathamesh Kumar stated that the initiative is expected to not only offer a memorable experience for cricket lovers but also help develop Rashtriya Prerna Sthal as a hub for social and cultural activities. To facilitate uninterrupted viewing, the closing time of the venue will be extended during match screenings.
A trial run of the live screening was conducted on Thursday night, which was reported to be successful. Officials also confirmed that entry for watching the matches will be free of cost for all visitors.
